The 2022-23 Indian Super Association will be the ninth time of the Indian Super Association, first season as the main top division, and the 27th time of top-level Indian football. The association will start on 7 October 2022 and planned to end in Walk 2023.
Jamshedpur are the protecting premiers and Hyderabad are the reigning champs.
Changes from last season
Six rather than four clubs will vie for the end of the season games. The main two clubs qualify straightforwardly for the end of the season games, while the following four sides will play a solitary legged match to choose the excess two groups for the elimination rounds. The third-positioned group will play against the 6th positioned group. Essentially, the fourth-positioned group will play against the fifth-positioned group, with the higher-positioned sides facilitating the match.
The customary home and away configuration has returned.
