Brazil defeats South Korea in the FIFA World Cup 2022

Brazil cranked on the flair, dancing their way to a 4-1 World Cup round-of-16 triumph over South Korea on Monday at Qatar's Stadium 974.

Twitter exploded as Brazil thrashed South Korea to go to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals in 2022. Up Monday, December 5, Selecao Canarinho put on a dominant performance, defeating the South Koreans 4-1.

Vinicius Jr. scored Selecao's first goal in the seventh minute. He finished calmly to score his first goal of the competition.

Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison, and Lucas Paqueta all scored in a dominating first half as Brazil advanced to the quarterfinals against 2018 World Cup champions Croatia on December 9.

Neymar's goal was his 76th for Brazil, matching him with Pele for the most goals scored in the country's renowned yellow shirt.

Before the half-hour mark, Richarlison made it 3-0 by slipping the easiest of finishes into the South Korean goal after some wonderful individual talent and excellent interaction with Thiago Silva at the top of the penalty area.

Brazil scored their fourth goal of the first half on a counter-attack that saw Neymar feed Vinicius, who in turn scooped a cross for the onrushing Paqueta to side-foot in with his first touch.

Son Heung-Min of Tottenham Hotspur forced a fantastic save from Alisson shortly after the restart, while Raphinha was stopped twice at the other end as he attempted to add to Brazil's score.

South Korea's World Cup came to an end against the tournament favourites, despite holding Brazil scoreless in the second half and scoring a thrilling late consolation goal through Paik Seung-Ho.

The five-time world winners were granted a penalty in the 13th minute, which Neymar Jr. scored with elegance. When he returned to the club, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) great scored. Due to an injury sustained in the opener against Serbia, he missed the following two games against Switzerland and Cameroon.

Just before the half-hour mark, Richarlison scored a spectacular team goal to widen the lead. After a brilliant team play, Thiago Silva set up the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

South Korea posed a few early challenges to Brazil's objective. Son Heung-Min also had a great chance in the second half. Alisson Becker, on the other hand, made a fantastic stop on that occasion.

Paik Seung-amazing Ho's strike from way outside the area, on the other hand, left the Liverpool goalie speechless. In the 76th minute, the South Korean scored with a half-volley. The goal was only a consolation as Selecao held on for a convincing victory.

Brazil will face South Korea in the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Monday at Stadium 974.

Brazil won Group G and became the second team to qualify for the round of 16 behind reigning champions France. They won their first two games but were defeated 1-0 by Cameroon in their final group-stage match.

Vincent Aboubakar scored the game-winning goal in injury time and was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for taking off his shirt while celebrating.

Brazil may see Neymar return to the team for the encounter after making some progress in his rehabilitation from an ankle injury. Nonetheless, the five-time champions have a quality team for the match, and after playing their reserve squad in their last group-stage game, their key players will be well-rested and ready for this battle.

South Korea has shown good attitude throughout the campaign, but considering their terrible record against Brazil, an upset seemed unlikely.
