The England women's cricket team is presently planning a December 2022 trip to the West Indies to play three Women's Day Internationals (WODIs) and five Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The WODI matches were part of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-2025.
England won the first ODI by 142 runs, with Nat Sciver's 90-run innings and Charlie Dean's four-wicket haul. England won the second ODI by the same score, with Lauren Bell getting four wickets. England achieved a 3-0 series sweep after defeating the hosts by 151 runs in the last one-day international.
In December, the England Women's squad will go to the Caribbean to play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against the West Indies.
The trip will begin on December 9 with the opening ODI in Antigua. All three series matches and the first T20I will be held in Antigua, while the final four T20Is will be held in Barbados.
The ODI series will also be part of the ICC Women's Championship, with England still without a point following their 3-0 loss to India at home.
After breaking her collarbone during the first WODI, Alice Capsey was declared out for the rest of the tour. As a consequence, Maia Bouchier and Alice Davidson-Richards were added to England's WT20I team. Freya Kemp was forced out of England's team before the commencement of the T20I series due to a back ailment. Kyshona Knight replaced the injured Karishma Ramharack in the West Indies roster for the third WODI.
England Women's West Indies Tour 2022 is scheduled to commence on the 4th of December and end on the 23rd of December. This tour will be England's first international cricket event since the ICC World Cup 2019 and its first in the Caribbean since 2016. The women's squad is made up of players who are current or former members of teams that have competed at the highest levels, including Australia, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan.
The schedule for this tour has been released and it features a number of important matches against some of the best teams in world cricket. First up is a four-match series against India which will be played at three different venues across Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot. Thereafter, England faces off with Australia in a two-test series which will be held on Australian soil (Melbourne Cricket Ground and Perth Stadium). Finally, they meet New Zealand in what promises to be an exciting five-match ODI series back in England (the final three games taking place at London’s Emirates Old Trafford).
