Delhi Capital was founded in 2008 as the Delhi Daredevils. DC received its new name in December 2018 from the Delhi Daredevils. This year Delhi Capitals will miss their important player Rishabh Pant as he is absent from the campaign due to the accident. David Warner has stepped into his shoes and been appointed as the captain of DC this year. Ricky Ponting acts as coach of the Delhi Capitals. Arun Jaitely Stadium is the capital’s home ground. Delhi Capitals is owned by GMR Sports Pvt. Ltd. and JSW Sports Pvt. Ltd. DC has never been able to enjoy the prestigious IPL trophy until now. For the first time in 2020, the Delhi Capitals reached the IPL finals.
