Pakistan faces the only unbeaten team South Africa

This wicket is on the slower side. But it's good to see some runs scoring here.

Pakistan's pace attack has been impressive in this tournament, but South Africa's batsmen need to score more runs to win matches. They have made only one fifty in their last four T20Is and it looks like they will have to rely on spinners if they want to beat Pakistan on Monday.

Pakistan has not beaten South Africa in their last four T20I encounters and will be hoping to break that duck against a team that has won all six matches so far.

"There are some changes for Pakistan too. Their bowlers had too many misses against Australia - even when you do miss, you want to be consistent," says Parthiv Patel on Star Sports.

The Pakistani batsmen need to show more consistency than they did against New Zealand. They made only 107 batting first at the same venue last month and need to find a way to put up more than that today. Pakistan has not beaten South Africa in their last four T20I encounters and they would be hoping that a combination of their bowlers and some good fielding can help them take the opening game here.

Pakistan also made 108 runs for the loss of four wickets against Australia in Brisbane earlier this year but lost by seven runs due to a poor bowling performance from Mohammad Amir, who picked up five wickets for 64 runs off his 10 overs with an economy rate of 8.20 per over which was his worst figures so far during his international career.

They have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to death bowler choices, but none have been able to deliver consistently since Mohammad Hafeez's retirement from international cricket three years ago.

"Pakistan hasn't played well in this tournament so far and desperately needs a win," says Ian Bishop on Star Sports.
