USA

The United States is guaranteed three group matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and the starting lineups against Wales, England, and Iran will go a long way toward determining whether the United States will stay in the Middle East for a prolonged period of time.

Manager Gregg Berhalter will be in charge of deploying the players on his 26-man final roster. Every starting lineup will be contested by fans.

The first one, against Wales, saw some intriguing selections, including old statesman Tim Ream at center-back, Tim Weah over Brenden Aaronson at the right flank, and Josh Sargent over Jesus Ferreira at forward.

Still, there may be some changes in the future as Berhalter attempts to keep players fit and deploy the best eleven for the situation. There are certain positions that cannot be debated. We'll go into that further down.

Throughout his career as head coach of the United States, Gregg Berhalter has chosen a 4-3-3 configuration. He has dabbled with a three-man center-back formation on occasion, and it wouldn't be surprising to see it at the World Cup, but for the most part, fans are accustomed to Berhalter's four-back system.

The US has one of the youngest rosters in the FIFA World Cup, and any formation Berhalter deploys will feature a slew of players who have yet to reach the pinnacle of their careers.

Wales

Rob Page has named the Wales World Cup 2022 team, which will compete in their first FIFA event in almost 60 years.

After Pele's goal knocked Wales out of the 1958 World Cup quarter-finals in Sweden, Wales' top defender Mel Charles arrived at Swansea station and was asked whether he'd been on vacation by the ticket collector. Even this little homecoming would be a fantasy every four years for the next six decades.

Wales has returned, fueled by self-belief. Fans and athletes have an emotional bond.

A 32,000-person choir performs at a World Cup play-off. "Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth, ry'n ni yma o hyd," says the narrator. Qualifying is still old (bucket) hat for Cymru these days. After a strange Euro 2020 in which Wales found no rhythm, flying to Azerbaijan and back with a caretaker manager, a never-before-tried false nine role for Aaron Ramsey, and COVID restrictions on fans, the loss to Denmark in Amsterdam was watched by 14,000 Danes and 14 Welshmen, the third qualification across four tournaments restored confidence.

Although the roster has remained mostly unchanged, the players' situations have altered. Eight of the players who started the play-off victory against Ukraine in June have subsequently gone on to other clubs. Wales' World Cup team will include players from MLS, Serie A, Ligue 1, and League 2.

Only two slots are questionable. Danny Ward finally got his monkey's paw wish of being selected by Leicester, but he did so behind a woeful defense, whilst Wayne Hennessey justified his surprising selection against Ukraine with the greatest performance of his 100-cap career.

As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, national managers were permitted to invite 26 players to the European Championship last summer for the first time at a major event.

It has already been announced that 26-man squads would be employed for the Qatar World Cup, up from the usual 23-man teams.

Argentina

La Albiceleste enters the Qatar tournament as the most established and in-form squad.

The Copa America champions are unbeaten in 35 games (the longest streak in the competition) since 2019 and have drawn Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland in Group C. The oddsmakers gave Lionel Messi's final World Cup dreams a 9/1 probability of success.

Lionel Scaloni has managed to rally a motivated and talented Argentine group. Lautaro, Otamendi, Romero, De Paul, Paredes, and others have offered a much-needed identity since taking over in 2018, guiding his team to triumph in Copa America and La Finalissima in 2021 and 2022, respectively, against Brazil and Italy, and hope to replicate the same in Doha.

Argentina experienced a setback as attackers Nico Gonzalez and Joquin Correa were injured and ruled out of the FIFA World Cup. Angel Correa and Thiago Almada were picked as their replacements by head coach Scaloni.

SQUAD:

Franco Armani has one goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez has 23, and Geronimo Rulli has thirteen.

Defenders: Juan Foyth, Nicolas Tagliafico, Gonzalo Montiel, German Pazzela, Cristian Romero, Nicolas Otamendi, Lisandro Martinez, and Nahuel Molina.

Forwards: Lionel Messi (10), Angel Di Maria (11) and Angel Correa (15), Julian Alvarez (9), Paulo Dybala (21) and Lautaro Martinez (22).

Saudi Arabia

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial international men's football championship contested by FIFA member countries' senior national teams. From November 20 to December 18, 2022, it will be hosted in Qatar. This will be the first World Cup to be contested entirely in Asia, following the 2002 event in South Korea and Japan.  Furthermore, the tournament will be the last with a 32-team field; the field will be expanded to 48 teams for the 2026 tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Herve Renard, the head coach of Saudi Arabia, has unveiled the names of the 26 players that will compete in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM.

This will be the country's sixth appearance in the World Cup finals since 1994 when they made their debut.

Renard will be coaching in his second World Cup after leading Morocco to victory in Russia in 2018.

The Green Falcons will begin their campaign on Tuesday, November 22 against Lionel Messi's Argentina, before facing Poland and Mexico in Group C.

The Arab squad has played 16 games in the FIFA World Cup, winning only three and losing eleven.

Qatar 2022 squad from Saudi Arabia:

Muhammad Al Owais, Mohammed Al Rubaie, and Nawaf Alaqidi are the goalkeepers.

Defenders: Abdulelah Al-Amri, Ali Al-Bulaihi, Abdullah Mado, Saud Abdul Hamid, Hassan Tumbukti, Yasser Al Shahrani, and Muhammad Al-Buraik.

Haitham Asiri, Firas Al-Buraikan, and Saleh Al Shehri are the attackers.

All squads are tentative until FIFA announces the final list of 26 players on November 15, after their submission by participating teams.
