Taskin Ahmed The Probable Replacement for Mark Wood At LSG

IPL Debut Franchise Lucknow Super King was in great distress before the upcoming season as the England Pacer Mark Wood suffered a severe elbow injury during the opening Test Match against West Indies and had to leave the LSG team and miss the entire IPL journey. Though Wood has been obtained by spending the huge amount of 7.5 crores. Well now according to the sources Bangladesh  PacerTaskin Ahmed will most likely replace Mark Wood for the TATA IPL 15th league. According to the Bangladesh Website KalerKantha, ‘Taskin has been approached by LSG mentor GautamGambhir for the replacement of Mark Wood.” This is what GautamGambhir said, “I want Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed in the team and that is for the whole season. If he agrees to the offer, Taskin will have to leave for India before the next two Tests against South Africa.” If we go by the reports, this Bangladeshi player will soon make the debut in the fourthcoming season of the IPL tournament. Going by career graph,Taskinhas attained ’23 wickets in 33 T20Is till now. And currently, he is in South Africa representing Bangladesh in three-match ODI test series against South Africa which will end on March 23rd. And he is also part of his national team for the upcoming Two test matches against Proteas which will begin on 31st March. If Taskin joins IPL, he has to miss his Test matches, according to the website, Gambhir said, “I want Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed in the team and that is for the whole season. If he agrees to the offer, Taskin will have to leave for India before the next two Tests against South Africa.” Now Taskin has been told to give his final decision about joining IPL by Monday, But as per reports, he has requested some more time to contemplate on the same and discuss it with the final authorities of the Bangladesh Team. According to a source by KalerKanth, “Franchise cricket is a reality now. You can’t hold anyone even if you want to. BCB president NazmulHasan is also generous in accepting the reality, That’s why a key member of the team said that Taskin is more likely to get leave.” However, IfTaskin Ahmed agrees to join the IPL, he will accompany his fellow citizen ‘MustafirRahman’, who is a part of Delhi Capitals. Meanwhile, IPL 2022 is set to launch its 15th league from 26th March in Wankhede Stadium starting with the competition of Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. And Lucknow Super Giants will begin its tournament from 28th March against Gujarat Titans
