Finally, the day has come, which everyone was waiting for. The new team of IPL season 2022, Gujarat Titans has come out with their new jersey.
This debut team released their new jersey at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 13th March. This ceremony was marked by the presence of the leader of the team Hardik Pandya, alongside head coach Ashish Nehra, Secretary of ‘BCCI’ Jay Shah who was also the chief guest at the event, Cricket Director Vikram Solanki, and all other team members. Talking about the jersey, CVC Capitals owned have adopted the blue color for their jersey. It has different tinges of blue with the name ‘Ather’ written on it which represents the 'Principal Partner' of the team who have signed a multi-year agreement in February with Gujarat Titans. Ather is a startup by Hero MotoCorp, this startup manufactures electric scooters. Through the deal Ather wants to increases the presence of EVs across the country. As IPL has a lot of viewership so it will be a great way to make the people aware of the brand and advantages of Electric vehicles. Well, talking about the team captain Hardik Pandya who didn't participate in any match after the T20 world cup last year, as he was suffering from back injuries, was unable to bowl. So, when asked this all-rounder-bowler will he be able to bowl this time, he said ‘it would be a surprise, so let it be a surprise.’ Pandya also made it clear about his views on leading the team, he said, “Our goal will be to make sure that our players are comfortable and whatever capacity we can help them out. Clarity and honesty have to be there. We know, when a player goes through a good time, he doesn’t need any of us. But there will be difficult days in the season. So, we’ll make sure that when the difficult days are going on, we’ll be there for them no matter what“My philosophy for this season is ‘success is there but failure is mine." Meanwhile, with the addition of two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, there will be 10 teams competing in the upcoming 15th league. And Gujarat Titans will play their first match against Lucknow Super Giants only at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 28th March.
