Wood has even backed out from the remaining ‘England’s tour’ of the West Indies due to the drastic pain in the right elbow. He only managed to make 5 overs on day 3. Well, Wood was England’s ‘fastest bowler’, he had even attained '17 wickets at 26.64 in four Tests in the Ashes series. In the meantime, Though there are positive updates the injury of Wood is a matter of disturbance as he is diagnosed with 'stress fracture'. According to the sources from England's cricket team, 'Wood attempted to bowl approximately six deliveries in the nets before the start of the fifth day’s play but struggles with acute pain.’Earlier ‘Steve Harmison, the former England fast bowler and TalkSPORT commentator-Wood is completely devastated after suffering the injury.’ He further said’ “He bowled a lot (in Sydney) and I remember thinking that we’re going to need him further down the line. He just kept bowling dead overs.” Now let’s see howMark Wood was the part of LSG, he was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for 7.5 crores at the IPL 2022 auction in February. They struggled a lot to obtain his services, LSG competed with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals and conquered them to win the bid for Wood. Till now he was a part of just one IPL season in 2018, Chennai Super Kings.
